Delicious American food, really enjoyed the braised short ribs and the wedge salad. The short ribs were tender and covered in a delicious gravy. Generous portion and heavy food so you won't leave hungry.

We ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken and French toast, breakfast potatoes, and the sweetest thang cocktail ! Everything was very savory and the service was great ! The portions were a nice size and the sweetest thang drink was refreshing but not overly swee.decided to get the peach cobbler bread pudding to go and that was also very satisfying. Highly recommend for brunch or dinner !!

Wow! Most delicious fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Mix the hot sauce and honey together and it’s heavenly. Tasty cocktail and a friendly bartender. No complaints. Thinking about a relo to Richmond and this meal was an item for the plus category!

Lillie Pearl is truly an RVA gem! I will return every chance I get. The food and drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was very pleasant. As a S.C. native, I highly recommend the Lobster + Shrimp + Grits (creamy and flavorful) and the Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding (warm and sweet) is to die for! My cocktail, Sweetest Thang was beautifully made as well. My only complaint is the booth seat we had in front of the hostess stand seemed to be a little awkward to sit on - like it’s not wide enough so my colleague and I had to sit at weird angles further away from one another just to be comfortable. Otherwise, I’ll be going back every chance I get to visit.

When I landed in Richmond, I asked a lady working at the airport where I could get some great shrimp and grits. She immediately referred me to the Lillie Pearl, and I can say with certainty, I was not disappointed. I've been here twice since I landed and will definitely be coming back during my time here.

Our first time visiting Richmond and it has not disappointed! There are so many restaurants to chose from but you MUST give Lillie Pearl a try... I had the lobster shrimp and grits that were to die for!, they weren't overly rich, the grits were perfectly cooked and the portions were just enough. My husband got the smothered pork chop and smiled the entire time (need I say more?!). The vibe is cozy and beautiful. Marisa was such a great and knowledgeable waitress! She made our experience so much better with her kindness and enthusiasm. A must visit in Richmond

A downtown Richmond favorite serving up soul food with a low country flair. We had the braised short ribs and fried chicken which were both delicious. The chicken breading was a bit too salty for my taste but nonetheless it was tender, juicy and perfectly prepared. Finish off your meal with their outstanding banana pudding! You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is a true gem! The flavors of the food are so robust and the energy of the restaurant matches. The banana pudding was lacking in sweetness though... left much to be desired. The people were pleasant, the servers were knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks were good, the prices were great! The ambiance is chic and rustic. This is absolutely a place I will return to each time I come to Richmond.

Thursday 3/21/2024 Made a reservation last minute for 4:30 which is the exact time they open. Even though we got there right as it opened that didn't stop the place from filling up rather quickly during our experience. The ambiance had a nice vibe to it with modern & old school hip hop & R&B music playing throughout the restaurant. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes & Mac n cheese (2$ upcharge) $20, peach cobbler bread pudding $8, and carrot cake $9. - fried chicken with mash & Mac * the fried chicken was decent, it comes with sides of honey & hot sauce that compliments the flavor of the chicken. * both the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were good. - peach cobbler bread pudding * it was pretty good and its probably my favorite item. - carrot cake * it isn't the best carrot cake I've had but it's solid. Overall, Lillie Pearl was a solid experience that I would recommend and be open to returning to in the future to possibly try their brunch items like the French toast & chicken and the peach cobbler French toast.
